Why Film Camp started

We all need mentors

When I was 14, my uncle said, "Brian, you need to get an agent." That simple comment gave me the direction I was looking for, but to shy to ask for. I've learned quite a bit since then and I'd like to share it with you. As a matter of fact, many industry pro friends will stop by camp to share their talents with you too. 3 week Breakdown

  • Pre Production

    JUNE 13-15
    You learn a lot about your team while preparing to film. We end up building props painting sets while examining the screenplay process. BTW, Truth is beautiful. So the more you understand Truth the easier it is to create beautiful art. You'll build a habit of prayer while you're here and experience the joy that comes with it. Tons of fun and learn a ton

  • PRODUCTION

    JUNE 16 - 24
    This is a rigorous and rewarding week. You will become familiar with camera, lights, sound, directing, acting, organization, confession, adoration, laughing, focus, joy, and endurance.

  • Post Production

    JUNE 25 - JULY 2
    Sliding into this week, lots of memories of production make us laugh a lot. Post is grueling. It's a fun grueling though. You see the awesome shots, working with sound effects is entertaining, and all the time spent in prayer is now paying off big.​

    Film Camp costs us twice as much as we charge for it. So YES! We would love your help us train future film makers. Make your tax-deductible donation today.

  • Can I get a scholarship?

    Are you a young filmmaker that would like to come to camp, but can't financially swing it? Then YES. The 50%0ff is Lumen's skin in the game. We are serious about building an army of filmmakers.   • I'm from out of town. Is there lodging available?

    We have a group of close friends that help host out of town campers. Once you reserve a spot we will set up a time to talk and work out the details.

  • Where are you located?

    We are in sunny Jacksonville, FL. Many film camps include a trip to the beach or a boat ride, so bring your sunscreen:)
